Job summary

Client Company Confidential in the greater Bay Area seeks a Regional Vice President, Community Management to lead portfolio-level property management for ~50 communities and 13,000 apartment homes in Northern California. You will partner with asset management and finance to align operations with investment objectives and optimize performance.

This executive role oversees a multi-layer leadership team, drives NOI, pricing strategies, resident satisfaction, and long-term asset value while coaching

Qualifications

• 12+ years of progressive leadership experience in multifamily property management, operations, or portfolio management.
• Experience operating within a publicly traded REIT environment strongly preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead portfolio-level property management for ~50 communities and 13,000 apartment homes.
• Own portfolio-level operational and financial performance, driving revenue growth, expense control, resident retention, and long-term asset value creation.
• Develop and execute portfolio-wide business plans aligned with investment objectives, market conditions, and growth initiatives.
• Drive NOI optimization through pricing, operational efficiencies, market positioning, and value-creation strategies.
• Partner with Asset Management and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and performance analysis.
• Establish and maintain high operating standards focused on service excellence and resident satisfaction.
• Build leadership depth through coaching, succession planning, and talent development.
• Collaborate with Development and Construction to support lease-up, stabilization, and operational transition of new communities.

Regional Vice President, Community Management

This Regional Vice President, Community Management role leads portfolio-level property management for a large multifamily platform, with full accountability for operating performance across approximately 50 communities. The position carries executive scope over a multi-layer leadership team and a sizable field organization, setting standards and aligning execution across communities. The role sits at the intersection of operations and investment objectives, partnering closely with asset management and other corporate functions to position the portfolio for sustained performance in a major Northern California market, based in the greater Bay Area.

• Executive accountability for a North San Francisco Bay Area multifamily portfolio of approximately 50 communities and 13,000 apartment homes
• Leadership scope includes a multi-layer team of Directors and Regional leaders with approximately 200 employees across high-profile assets
• Own portfolio-level operational and financial performance, driving revenue growth, expense control, resident retention, and long-term asset value creation
• Develop and execute portfolio-wide business plans aligned with investment objectives, market conditions, and growth initiatives
• Drive NOI optimization through strategic pricing, operational efficiencies, market positioning, and execution of value-creation strategies
• Partner with Asset Management and Finance on budgeting, forecasting, capital planning, and ongoing performance analysis
