Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Regional Medical Director (RMD) to lead and mentor veterinarians across Alabama, align hospital operations with medical leadership, and drive growth while maintaining high medical quality.

The RMD will partner clinically with doctors, support hospital teams, recruit talent, and collaborate with leadership to ensure resources meet regional needs. This role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and strategic leadership within a nationwide network.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Current state licensure in good standing to practice.
• Experience managing multi-site veterinary hospitals.
• Hospital ownership or Lead Veterinarian experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Mentor and develop veterinarians across the region through mentorship and development planning.
• Strengthen hospital collaboration by sharing best practices and ensuring clinical resources.
• Recruit and onboard veterinarians to grow the region.
• Partner with the Regional Operations Director on scheduling, equipment investments, and medical initiatives.
• Support growth in the Alabama market and build a strong veterinary workforce.
• Represent Mission Pet Health within the veterinary community to build future talent pipelines.
