Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Regional Medical Director to support our hospitals in the Fort Worth region. You will mentor veterinarians, strengthen hospital teams, and drive medical-quality growth while ensuring high standards of care.

This role combines leadership, collaboration, and strategic planning as you partner with the Regional Operations Director to align medical initiatives with hospital success. You can work from a home office but must travel to on-site locations 3–4 days per week.

Qualifications

• DVM degree required or equivalent.
• Current state veterinary license in good standing.
• Experience managing multi-site veterinary hospitals is required.
• Hospital ownership or Lead Veterinarian experience strongly preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to present data concisely.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Mentor veterinarians across the region through coaching and development planning.
• Strengthen hospital collaboration, share best practices, and ensure clinical resources are available.
• Recruit and onboard veterinarians; support mentorship and integration for long-term success.
• Partner with Regional Operations Director to align medical initiatives with hospital growth.
• Support growth in the Houston market and build regional talent pipelines.
