Job summary

Mission Pet Health seeks a Regional Medical Director to mentor veterinarians, strengthen hospital teams, and drive growth across Oregon, Washington, and two Alaska locations. You’ll partner clinically with hospitals, coordinate with a Regional Operations Director, and help align medical leadership with hospital success.

The role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and strategic leadership, ensuring high medical quality while supporting doctors and patients.

Qualifications

• Doctor of Veterinary Medicine (DVM) degree from an accredited university.
• Current state licensure in good standing to practice.
• Experience managing multi-site veterinary hospitals is required.
• Hospital ownership or previous Lead Veterinarian experience is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to present key data concisely.
• Strong organizational skills and a keen attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Partner with DVMs across the region to support professional growth through mentorship and development planning.
• Connect regularly with hospital teams to share best practices and ensure clinical resources are available.
• Attract, onboard, and integrate veterinarians to ensure long-term regional success.
• Collaborate with the Regional Operations Director to align medical initiatives with hospital growth.
• Support growth by expanding services and strengthening medical capabilities in the region.
• Represent Mission Pet Health within the veterinary community to build future talent.
