Job summary

Mission Pet Health is seeking a Regional Medical Director to support hospitals in the Fort Worth area. This role focuses on mentoring doctors, strengthening hospital teams, and growing practices while upholding high medical quality.

You will serve as a clinical partner to veterinarians and hospitals, collaborating with the Regional Operations Director to align medical leadership with hospital success. This is a leadership role with travel to on-site locations 3-4 days/week.

Qualifications

• DVM degree from an accredited university.
• Current state licensure in good standing to practice.
• Experience managing multi-site veterinary hospitals is required.
• Hospital ownership or previous Lead Veterinarian experience is strongly preferred.
• Exceptional interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills with the ability to present key data concisely.

Responsibilities

• Partner with DVMs across the region to mentor and develop clinical teams.
• Strengthen hospital collaboration and share best practices.
• Recruit and onboard veterinarians to the region for sustained growth.
• Support hospital leaders on scheduling, equipment investments, and medical initiatives.
• Drive regional growth while maintaining high medical quality.
• Support externship and internship programs to build future talent.
