Job summary

Danzer Veneers Americas, based in Williamsport, PA, seeks a Regional Procurement Manager to spearhead procurement for the Eastern U.S. region, focusing on veneer and resale logs to support Williamsport operations.

You will lead the log buying team, collaborate with leadership, production, and suppliers to ensure material quality, inventory control, and timely supply while driving continuous improvement and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Forestry, Business, Wood Products, Supply Chain or related field.
• 10+ years in wood products industry with veneer production experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of log procurement, sorting, grading, and quality specs.
• Proficient with SAP, SQL reporting or similar systems.
• Willingness to travel and work outdoors in varying weather.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement activities for Eastern U.S. region supporting Williamsport facility.
• Coordinate log buying with leadership and production to meet plans.
• Ensure supply of veneer and logs, maintain quality and inventory control.
• Manage log yard operations and supervise the log yard team.
• Prepare reports on procurement performance and inventory.
• Foster supplier relationships and drive cost management and continuous improvement.
