Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking a Regional Underwriting Team Lead for an established property and casualty insurer in Spokane, WA. You will combine hands-on commercial lines underwriting with direct leadership of a team of small to middle market underwriters, overseeing quality, production, and referral authority while maintaining individual responsibilities for large accounts.

The role requires 7+ years in commercial underwriting and 2+ years of leadership.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of commercial lines underwriting experience.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Experience underwriting small to middle market commercial accounts.
• Experience with production underwriting, underwriting quality, account management, and referral authority.
• Experience underwriting complex commercial accounts.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of 4 small to middle market commercial lines production underwriters
• Oversee team production efforts, underwriting quality, account management, and referral activity
• Provide underwriting leadership, guidance, and referral authority for commercial P&C accounts
• Maintain individual production underwriting responsibilities for large and complex commercial accounts
• Evaluate commercial risks and make underwriting decisions within established authority
• Support account management activities and ongoing commercial insurance portfolio performance
• Work directly with top agents and agency partners to support commercial lines business and account needs
