Job summary

Ecovyst seeks a Regional Turnaround Maintenance Planner in Houston, TX to lead regional planning and scheduling for sulfuric acid manufacturing sites. You will manage front-end loading, coordinate with operations, and drive reliable execution of turnarounds.

Develop detailed work scopes, BOMs, and integrated schedules; oversee contractors and vendors; ensure safety, MS Project CPM alignment, and cost control across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of turnaround/shutdown planning and scheduling; 7+ years regional preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication, customer service, and decision-making skills.
• Proficient with MS Office; MS Project and related tools.
• Team player with cross-functional collaboration.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Provide year-round regional turnaround planning and scheduling in Texas (based in Houston; covers Baytown).
• Maintain the rolling 18+ month FEL planning pipeline and define gate dates for scope, contracting, and materials.
• Lead and document constructability and scope reviews to ensure right-sized work.
• Develop complete, field-ready work scopes and job plans with resource details.
• Define requirements for isolation/LOTO, scaffolding, insulation, rigging, NDE, and more.
• Develop BOMs and SAP PM work orders and related BOMs.
• Establish reusable job-plan templates for repetitive equipment.
• Support MS Project CPM schedules and risk/scenario analysis.
• Develop budget-control estimates and track costs; forecast variance.
• Differentiate capital vs expense work and coordinate with Finance.
• Identify long-lead/spare requirements and track material readiness.
• Direct turnaround contractors and vendors; integrate their schedules.
• Translate BOMs into material kits and track kit status against milestones.
• Assist Storeroom with warehouse control and SAP reconciliation.
• Support site during execution and capture daily progress.
• Maintain data files, templates, and benchmark best practices regionally.
• Incorporate safety, PSM/RMP, mechanical-integrity into work packages.
