Job summary

Ecovyst is seeking a Regional Turnaround Maintenance Planner in Houston, TX to lead year-round, region-wide turnaround planning for sulfuric acid facilities. You will develop front-end loading, define gate dates, and ensure work packages meet run-length and reliability goals.

The role requires 5+ years in turnaround planning, strong communication, and mastery of MS Project; you will collaborate with operations, maintenance, and vendors to deliver safe, on-time turnarounds while controlling costs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 5 years of turnaround/planning experience in refinery/chemical facilities; 7+ years preferred.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Competent computer skills with MS Office; MS Project preferred.
• Team player with ability to manage multiple projects under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Provide year-round, regional turnaround planning for sulfuric acid sites in Texas (Houston based).
• Maintain 18+ month FEL planning pipeline and define gate dates for scope, contracts, materials, and schedule baseline.
• Develop field-ready work scopes and detailed job plans with crew sizing and durations.
• Define requirements for job isolation, LOTO, scaffolding, insulation, rigging, NDE, machining, and services.
• Create and maintain SAP PM work orders, operations, and BOMs; standardize planning templates.
