Job summary

Qualifications

• 2–4 years of commercial trucking experience required.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License Required.
• Experience with self-loaders/heavy equipment operators preferred.

Responsibilities

• Loads and unloads products using a loader/boom with a grapple; offloads rail cars and other trucks; places products into yard bunks and onto other truck/trailer combinations.
• Maintains records, documents, permits, and valid licenses for assigned truck/equipment.
• Performs daily pre and post trip DOT inspections on truck, trailer, boom and equipment; checks oil, coolant, tires, connections, pins and hoses.
• Drives truck to destination including during adverse weather conditions and emergency storm response.
• Secures cargo per DOT regulations and ensures load ticket accuracy; communicates delivery instructions to supervisor.
• Participates in the company safety program and assists in maintenance of trucks and yard equipment.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
