Job summary

Salary ranges from $40,918 to $71,155 depending on level, with full benefits. Candidates must meet CDL requirements and related experience as listed. This is a nonexempt, regular position in the Maintenance Division.

Qualifications

• Tech I requires no experience.
• Tech II requires 1 year of transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work.
• Tech III requires 2 years of transportation engineering support, roadway maintenance, construction inspection, heavy equipment operation, or related work.

Responsibilities

• Assists with traffic control; places and gathers cones, warning signs, and barricades; flags traffic.
• Inspects barricades to ensure compliance with barricade standards.
• Operates light equipment such as front-end loader and related gear.
• Performs preventive maintenance inspections and required reports.
• Maintains highways and rights-of-way; performs highway striping operations; erects and repairs guard rails and signs.
• May lead work crews for project work and train other employees.
