Job summary

Amazon is seeking Transportation Area Managers in the United States to support site leadership, drive quality and Customer Experience, and streamline logistics across our network. You will lead teams, mentor hourly associates, and focus on safety, productivity, and on-time delivery in a fast-paced environment.

Successful candidates bring 2+ years in people management, a relevant degree or equivalent experience, and a proven record with Lean/Six Sigma process improvement and strong customer

Qualifications

• 2+ years of employee and performance management experience.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
• 1+ years of performance metrics, process improvement or lean techniques experience.
• Experience managing a team of 20+ employees.
• Experience with process improvements (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma).
• Excellent customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Operations, Supply Chain/Logistics, or a related field.
• Industry experience in retail, F&B, military, manufacturing, automotive, biotech, electronics, energy, instrumentation, machinery, defense/aerospace, medical, cosmetics, production or distribution environments.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with site leadership on quality and Customer Experience metrics, including root cause analysis.
• Streamline logistics in the operation through standard work and team leadership.
• Support and commit to safety programs and OSHA compliance.
• Proactively identify and lead Lean process improvements.
