You will own P&L, drive data-driven improvements, and manage a team of Supervisors and Drivers while aligning transportation with company goals and customer expectations.
Travel about 50% annually; role is remote but requires residency on the West Coast. Strong leadership, analytics, and regulatory compliance are essential for EBITDA and service improvements.
Divert is a circular economy company on a mission to prevent food from being wasted through nationwide infrastructure and innovative technologies. Founded in 2007, the company provides an end-to-end solution that leverages data to prevent waste, facilitates edible food recovery to provide people in need, and transforms unsold food products into renewable energy to power communities. Through this integrated approach to reducing wasted food–Prevent, Provide, Power™–Divert works with customers across the U.S. to reduce wasted food and positively impact people and the environment.
The Regional Transportation Manager is responsible for the safety, leadership, full P & L ownership, and operational improvement of their facilities within Divert’s transportation network. This role ensures alignment between their transportation operations, company objectives, and customer expectations. The manager will drive performance through data-driven decision-making using defined KPIs, development and leadership of team members (Supervisors and Drivers), and implementation of best-in-class transportation practices. While routine, facility operation daily tasks are delegated to site-level teams, the manager maintains accountability for their site’s transportation safety culture, profitability, compliance, serviceability, and overall performance results. This position reports directly to the Director of Logistics.
Success is defined by clear, measurable improvement in the safety program and results, significant and continual improvement in EBITDA, and in customer health metrics.
This is a remote role required to live on the West Coast, ideally WA, CA, NV or OR; candidates should be located near a major airport.
Travel of approximately 50% annually is expected to support facilities that they oversee.
