Qualifications

• At least 3 years of TMS experience, preferably Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
• Proven track record negotiating freight rates, contracts and carrier relationships.
• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Lead transportation operations across the U.S. and Canada ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of goods.
• Manage approximately $30 million in annual transportation spend and multi-modal freight.
• Serve as transportation SME driving carrier management, freight procurement, fleet optimization, budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and compliance.
• Lead transportation sourcing events, carrier negotiations, performance management programs, and service reviews.
• Own and optimize transportation technology platforms including OTM, improving visibility and automation.
• Collaborate with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Finance, Warehousing, and 3PLs.
• Utilize data to identify cost savings opportunities and drive operational improvements.

What You'll Be Doing

As Transportation Manager, you will:

• Lead transportation operations across the U.S. and Canada, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective movement of hazardous and non-hazardous products.
• Manage approximately $30 million in annual transportation spend and oversee transportation activities across parcel, LTL, truckload, bulk, and palletized freight.
• Serve as the transportation subject matter expert, driving carrier management, freight procurement, fleet optimization, budgeting, forecasting, analytics, and compliance activities.
• Lead transportation sourcing events, carrier negotiations, performance management programs, and service reviews.
• Own and optimize transportation technology platforms, including Oracle Transportation Management (OTM), while improving visibility, efficiency, and automation across the network.
• Partner closely with Customer Service, Manufacturing, Supply Chain Planning, Procurement, Finance, Warehousing, and third-party logistics providers to ensure exceptional service and continuous improvement.
• Utilize transportation, ERP, carrier, and financial data to identify cost savings opportunities and drive operational improvements.

What You'll Bring

• BA/BS in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field (or equivalent combination of education and experience) and 8 to 15 years of progressive supply chain experience, including transportation, logistics, and order fulfillment responsibilities within industrial manufacturing, chemical, or agricultural environments.
• Experience managing hazardous materials transportation, with DOT Hazmat certification considered an advantage.
• At least three years of Transportation Management System (TMS) experience, ideally with Oracle Transportation Management (OTM).
• Demonstrated success negotiating freight rates, contracts, service agreements, and managing carrier relationships.
• Strong analytical skills with experience leveraging large datasets to identify business insights and drive performance improvements.
• A bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, Data Analytics, or a related discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience managing significant transportation sourcing programs across the U.S. and Canada.
• Expertise with business intelligence and reporting tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Spotfire, or similar platforms.
• Experience leading TMS implementations or acting as a system super user.
• Strong project management capabilities.

What We Offer

The base salary for this position ranges from $89,800 to $114,000 per year. Compensation is determined by several factors, including market location, and may vary based on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
