The Oregon Department of Transportation seeks a Region 1 Traffic Safety Coordinator to oversee statewide safety programs, manage safety-related grants, and collaborate with engineers, law enforcement and community partners to reduce crashes and improve roadway safety.

You will review safety data, shape program guidelines, develop practical solutions, and serve as a regional safety expert ensuring statewide initiatives align with local needs.

Qualificações

• Experience developing, implementing and administering transportation safety programs.
• Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities.
• Proven ability to build relationships with local partners.
• Experience reviewing grant claims/reports with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and with a team.
• Experience creating and implementing strategic plans.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee statewide transportation safety programs.
• Manage safety-related grants from start to finish.
• Review safety data to inform decisions and track progress.
• Identify issues in safety programs and recommend updates.
• Provide guidance and training to agencies implementing safety projects.
• Monitor funded projects through reviews and evaluations.
• Build partnerships with local, regional, and statewide partners.
• Coordinate regional safety initiatives (work zones, safety corridors).
• Represent ODOT in meetings, presentations, and committees.
• Participate in public safety messaging and education efforts.
