Job summary

TRC, Member of WSP, is seeking a Regional Testing & Commissioning supervisor to lead technical supervision of the Midwest department. You will guide staff, ensure safety and quality standards, and interface with clients, engineers, and managers on technically complex projects.

You’ll oversee field operations, mentor engineers, and support proposals, budgets, and schedules while promoting TRC safety, quality, and industry standards on demanding projects.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated supervisory and leadership skills with ability to market engineering services.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with clients, agencies and colleagues.
• Experience in testing and commissioning within electric utility and mentoring technicians/engineers.
• Business development experience in growing testing and commissioning services regionally.
• Willing to work flexible hours, travel, and manage project staffing.

Responsibilities

• Regional lead for client relationships, opportunities, hiring, and marketing of services.
• Provide Testing & Commissioning support in complex areas and supervise/training of staff.
• Coordinate performance goals and evaluations for direct reports to meet standards.
• Develop and administer employee training programs in collaboration with Directors.
• Ensure safety and quality standards across field operations.
• Schedule work and allocate company assets to meet project requirements.
• Prepare proposals, estimates, and schedules for potential projects.
• Mentor on-site teams and oversee testing and commissioning tasks as applicable.
• Take role in building the department by expanding services to clients.
• Review time sheets and expenses for direct reports.
• Maintain accurate project records and document management practices.
