Job summary

VCNA’s St Marys Cement division in the Great Lakes region seeks a skilled Millwright to create, install, maintain, and repair terminal equipment and structures. You will oversee the monthly maintenance programs and support budget adherence while collaborating with terminal managers on repairs and projects.

Minimum two years post-graduation experience is expected, with aptitude in reading blueprints, pneumatics, welding, cutting, and project coordination.

Qualifications

• Must read blueprints and interpret mechanical drawings.
• Knowledge of pneumatics and hydraulic systems is preferred.
• Proficiency with hand tools and fabrication/welding (MIG and ARC).
• Experience with cutting techniques (gas/plasma).
• Strong project management and planning abilities.

Responsibilities

• Complete and assist in each terminal monthly preventative maintenance program for compliance.
• Assist terminal managers in planning and performing repairs for unexpected breakdowns.
• Organize, plan and implement approved in-house terminal projects, repairs and capital improvements.
• Assist terminal managers with annual maintenance budgets, parts purchases, and breakdown repairs.
• Maintain on-hand critical terminal spare parts inventory.
• Provide input for terminal improvements and equipment sustainability at year-end.

Education

Graduate of a certified millwright or industrial maintenance / apprentice program

Summary/Job Scope

Create, Install, maintain, and provide in- house repairs to terminal equipment, as well as physical structures in the great lake region. Oversee correct completion of the monthly terminal maintenance programs.

Key Responsibilities

• Complete and or assist in each terminal monthly preventative maintenance program to ensure compliance.
• Complete and or assist the terminal managers in organizing, planning, and performing terminal unexpected breakdown repairs.
• Organize, Plan and implement approved in house terminal projects, repairs and Capital improvements.
• Assist terminal mangers with individual yearly terminal maintenance budget adherence per projects, parts purchases, breakdowns and repairs.
• Assist terminal managers with on hand critical terminal spare parts inventory.
• Provide suggestions and supporting information at year end for any terminal improvement and equipment sustainability.

Qualifications

Skills - Read Blueprints, knowledge of pneumatics, proficient with hand tools, fabrication, welding (MIG and ARC), cutting techniques (gas/plasma), project management

Education - Graduate of a certified millwright or industrial maintenance / apprentice program

Experience - Minimum 2 years of post-graduation experience.

Salary Range:$80,000-$90,000
