Job summary

McLean Contracting Company is seeking a Regional Surveyor/Party Chief to join our team for the Curtis Bay, MD area. The role directs and coordinates surveying for heavy civil marine construction projects, planning layout and calculations.

Ideal candidates hold a Civil Engineering-related degree or advanced surveying studies with 5+ years in heavy civil construction; marine experience is a plus. Responsibilities include mentoring Field Engineers, maintaining survey control, and documenting survey

Qualifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or Civil Engineering Technology, or advanced studies in Surveying.
• 5+ years of progressive experience in heavy civil construction.
• Marine surveying experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform geometrical and mathematical calculations for survey work.
• Provide and maintain horizontal and vertical survey control with calculations.
• Lead field staff and mentor Field Engineers and instrument men.
• Manage scheduling and coordinate with operations.
