Job summary

Tecta America Corp. is seeking a Staff Accountant to join our Northeast Regional Finance team in Bloomfield, CT. You will work closely with the Regional Controller and operating unit teams to support multiple locations in the region.

This role offers hands-on experience in financial reporting, forecasting, project accounting, tax compliance, operational analysis, and process improvement. A recent graduate or early-career professional can grow into leadership roles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
• At least 1 year of accounting experience.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Construction, project, or job-cost accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with ERP/accounting software systems preferred.
• Multi-entity or multi-location accounting experience preferred.
• Experience with Payroll, AP, AR, Inventory, or other areas of accounting preferred.
• Experience with payroll tax and sales/use tax compliance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Close monthly and annual accounting periods for multiple operating units.
• Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and support schedules.
• Analyze financial results and investigate variances.
• Support forecasts and management reporting.
• Assist regional controller and operating unit leadership with ad hoc analysis.
• Support internal/external audits and tax/compliance tasks.
• Provide regional training and backup to admin/accounting personnel.
• Take on projects to support regional growth and business objectives.
