Job summary

National Heritage Academies is seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our traveling team. This role supports students with speech and language needs across multiple schools, requiring flexibility and strong collaboration with educators and related service providers.

The traveling SLP will assess, plan, and implement IEP-driven goals, document progress, and participate in multidisciplinary meetings while ensuring compliance with state and federal guidelines.

Qualifications

  • Must hold a master’s degree in speech language pathology with CCC from ASHA.
  • Experience working with at-risk student populations.
  • Experience in a school-based or pediatric environment.
  • Familiarity with IEP development, special education compliance, and collaborative service delivery models.

Responsibilities

  • Develop daily service schedules and coordinate IEP meetings.
  • Conduct speech-language evaluations and contribute to assessment planning.
  • Develop, implement and monitor individualized SLP goals aligned with IEP.
  • Provide specially designed instruction through various service delivery models.
  • Maintain documentation and compliance with guidelines.

Summary

We are currently seeking dedicated Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) to join our team in a traveling role. This position offers a dynamic work environment and requires a flexible, adaptable approach to meet the evolving needs of students and schools. As a traveling SLP, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact while helping students reach their full potential. The Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) works collaboratively with special education teachers, general education staff, and related service providers to support students with identified speech and language needs.

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Collaborating with the administrator over special education to develop and coordinate daily service schedules, evaluation timelines, and annual IEP meetings
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings, including eligibility determinations, annual reviews, and progress monitoring discussions
  • Conducting speech and language evaluations and contributing to assessment planning as part of the special education process
  • Developing, implementing, and monitoring individualized speech-language goals aligned with each student’s IEP
  • Providing specially designed instruction to meet the unique communication needs of students through a variety of service models.
  • Documenting service delivery, progress notes, and compliance-related paperwork in accordance with state, federal, and organizational guidelines
  • Consulting with teachers and families to support carryover of communication strategies across classroom and home environments
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Must hold a master’s degree in speech language pathology - CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Associate (ASHA).
  • Experience working with at-risk student populations
  • Experience in a school-based or pediatric environment
  • Familiarity with IEP development, special education compliance, and collaborative service delivery models
