Job summary

Mesa Public Schools in Arizona seeks a Regional Student Support Lead to oversee high school SPED services across a PreK–12 region. The role emphasizes leadership, compliance oversight, and alignment with IDEA and district policies.

You will coach teachers, manage caseloads and schedules, participate in state monitoring, and collaborate with site and district leaders to ensure effective, evidence-based instructional practices for students with disabilities.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in education, special education, or related field.
• Valid Arizona Department of Education teaching certificate and SEI endorsement or related certificate.
• Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching or related experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional SPED services with primary focus on high school systems and practices.
• Collaborate with site and district leaders to implement services aligned with IDEA and state statutes.
• Monitor IEP compliance, timelines, progress reports, and documentation.
• Coordinate high school caseloads, schedules, and service models for balanced staff workloads.
• Participate in transition planning between junior high and high school to ensure smooth hand-offs.
