Overview

BASIS Dallas Metro Area is seeking qualified candidates for a Regional Special Education Coordinator to join our bright, passionate team. Responsibilities
  • Coordinating and assuring full state and federal compliance with all aspects of programming (identification, review, dismissal) for students with disabilities per the IDEA, Section 504 and the ADA;
  • Providing direct special education services, as needed, and supervising itinerant service providers;
  • Preparing and reporting accurate and timely data for internal and external regulatory purposes;
  • Facilitating in the development and implementation of informal academic and behavioral intervention programs for individual students.
Required Qualifications
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in special education or related subject matter (or 24+ credit hours in applicable subject matter with other degree)
  • Certifications and Credentials: Valid Fingerprint Clearance and current special education EC-12th certificate or the special education EC-6th certificate
  • Experience: 1 year in a role with related special education job duties
  • Computer Skills: Microsoft Office Suite
Preferred
  • Education: Master’s degree in special education or related subject matter
  • Certifications and Credentials: CPI or TACT-2
  • Experience: 2+ years with related special education job duties in a similar-sized school
  • Computer Skills: IEP Pro (AZ), SED’s, (BA), EasyIEP (DC), and school-specific systems

Benefits and Salary

Starting salary for this position is $46,000 and negotiable dependent on education and experience. BASIS.ed offers a comprehensive benefits package.
