Job summary

Toyota Automated Logistics seeks a Regional Site Project Engineer to support the Kentucky Regional team during installation, commissioning, and startup of material handling/automation projects. You will coordinate with Project Manager, review layouts, develop site reports, and manage subcontractors to meet safety and timeliness goals.

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year engineering degree, is fluent with MS Office, can read facility drawings, and has hands-on mechanical/electrical/PLC

Qualifications

Must be eligible to work in the USA long term without sponsorship.
4-year Engineering or Building Construction Management Degree.
Strong interpersonal skills and fluent with MS Office.
Ability to interpret facility and equipment layouts/drawings.
Skilled in mechanical, electrical, pneumatic and PLC troubleshooting.
Background in Material Handling, Robotics, Manufacturing or Packaging is a plus.
Understanding of industrial control systems and/or machine interfaces.
Strong customer service orientation.
Employees must follow information security policies and training.

Responsibilities

Close coordination with Project Manager and Field Application Engineer as applicable.
Assist with final review of equipment layouts and installation drawings.
Help develop RFQ input for installation contractor selection.
On-site receiving of shipments and organize the implementation site.
Develop daily Site Reports and publish to project team and customer.
Manage subcontractor personnel and ensure safety and schedule alignment.
Implement and manage safety processes to maintain a safe site.
Coordinate installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of equipment with commissioning engineer.
Assist in industrial control system debugging and equipment interfaces.
Develop and maintain installation and commissioning checklists.
Maintain daily task lists and prioritize with Project Manager.
Resolve technical problems individually or with team collaboration.
Communicate clearly with management and project teams.
Respond to customer requests in a timely manner.
