Job summary

Sunbelt Rentals is seeking a Regional Safety, Health and Environmental Manager 2 (RSM) to oversee occupational safety at assigned profit centers and ensure adherence to safety policies. The role requires implementing programs and communicating safety issues to the Safety Director, with extensive audits, training, and action tracking across branches.

Responsibilities include leading coordinators, developing regional SH&E plans, and coordinating annual safety initiatives.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Safety/Health or equivalent experience with 5+ years in safety/SH&E.
• Preferred certifications: OHST, CHST, SMS, GSP.
• Strong written and verbal communication for individuals and groups.
• Ability to present information in classroom or conference calls.
• Ability to develop strategic plans with leading and lagging indicators.

Responsibilities

• Prepare reports and recommend procedures to improve performance.
• Oversee safety protocols’ integrity across Branch locations.
• Conduct safety compliance inspections and audits per program criteria.
• Train and guide Safety Coordinators for consistent policy execution.
• Identify deficiencies, document corrective actions, and push for completion.
• Assist in safety training, meetings, and documentation maintenance.
• Track regional performance to highlight adherence and lagging areas.
• Collaborate with VP and Regional Managers on annual SH&E plans.
• Lead monthly Safety Coordinator calls and regional boot camps.
• Develop and deliver safety tools training and monitoring.
• Support incident investigations and reporting with claims teams.
• Participate in monthly safety meetings and safety stand-downs.
