Job summary

Henderson Hospital in Edinburg, TX is seeking a Senior Accountant to handle Net Revenue calculations for selected FEDs and provide MFR variance explanations to Acute Regional Finance. This role includes TX-OK region reconciliations, and serving as the main resource for daily and monthly Accounting/AR/AP/PFS and Supply Chain processes.

The Senior Accountant will coordinate internal and external audits, manage CBO patient refunds, contribute to annual budget preparation, and assist with month-end

Qualifications

• Three or more years of experience in Accounting, within a Healthcare setting is preferred.
• Proficient in Account Analysis required.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Powerpoint & Excel, with emphasis on Pivots & Smart View functions.
• Familiar with PCBS and other budgeting healthcare software
• Must demonstrate commitment and adherence to STHS’s Compliance Program and Code of Conduct through compliance with all policies and procedures, the Code of Conduct, attendance at required training and immediately reporting suspected compliance issue(s) to the Compliance Officer.

Responsibilities

• Net Revenue calculations for selected FEDs.
• Prepare related MFR variance explanations for Acute Regional Finance.
• Prepare TX-OK Region-specific reconciliations and correcting entries as necessary.
• Serve as primary resource to Accountants for daily and monthly Accounting/AR/AP/PFS & Supply Chain processes.
• Coordinate Internal & External Audit requests.
• Primary contact for CBO Patient Refunds expedited requests.
• Participate in Annual Budget preparation.
• Maintain employee sign-on bonus and escheat schedules.
• Assist with month-end review of schedules prepared by Accountants.
• Perform other duties as assigned or required.
