DK Security is Michigan's fastest growing security company, established in 1995, offering uniform security, event staff security, loss prevention, and more. We are seeking unarmed Security Officers for a multi-warehouse distribution center in the Midwest.

Responsibilities include access control, patrolling, mobile patrol, and monitoring. Candidates should be at least 18 with a HS diploma, pass background and drug tests, and be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have either a high school diploma or GED.
• No felony convictions and must pass a criminal background check.
• Must pass a drug test at hire and randomly thereafter.
• Professional image and customer service-minded.
• Must be willing to obtain CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
• Must have valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• Less than 3 moving violations in 3 years; less than 2 at-fault accidents in 3 years.
• No major violations in last 3 years.
• Must be able to sit, stand, or walk for the shift and lift up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Delivery Access Control: Check in/out semi truck deliveries at the Guard House with software.
• Patrolling: Inspect interiors and exteriors for security, safety, or maintenance issues.
• Mobile Patrol: Drive the security vehicle to patrol parking lots and buildings.
• Warehouse Access Control: Verify client employee health screenings and guide next steps.
• Dispatching: Coordinate personnel for emergency and non-emergency responses.
• Monitoring: Operate CCTV and computer-aided security software.

Job Skills / Requirements

As an unarmed Security Officer at DK Security, your duties may vary depending on the site you are working. This opening is at a multi-warehouse distribution center for a large Midwest retailer. Multiple officers are on duty at a time.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to

• Delivery Access Control - Check in/out Semi Truck deliveries at the Guard House using computer software.


• Patrolling - Walk the interior and exterior of the various buildings on site, keeping an eye out for security, safety, or maintenance issues.


• Mobile Patrol - Drive the security vehicle around the site, patrolling parking lots and building exteriors.


• Warehouse Access Control - Ensure the client's employees complete their COVID health screenings. Provide next step directions depending on results.


• Delivery Access Control - Check in/out Semi Truck deliveries at the Guard House using computer software.


• Dispatching - Follow procedures in dispatching personnel for emergency and non-emergency response.


• Monitoring - Accurately and quickly utilize computer-aided software and monitor CCTV system using recording devices.

CURRENT OPENING:

Sunday, Tuesday, Friday 4PM - 12AM

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Must be at least 18 years of age or older.


• Must have either a high school diploma or GED equivalent.


• May NOT have any felony convictions and must be able to pass a criminal background check in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.


• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test at the time of hire and randomly thereafter.


• Must present a friendly, positive, and professional image.


• Must be willing to become CPR/1st Aide/AED Certified


• Must have a valid Driver's License with a good driving record.


• Less than 3 moving violations in the last 3 years


• Less than 2 at-fault accidents in the last 3 years


• No other major violations in the last 3 years.


• Physical Requirements:


• Must be able to sit, stand or walk for the duration of the shift, including walking long distances, and possibly up and down stairs


• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 50 pounds


• Must be readily able to respond to emergency situations


• Ability to work independently with little or no supervision.
