Job summary

Secure Community Network (SCN) seeks a Regional Security Advisor to lead security programs for the Virginia Beach Jewish community region. You will coordinate with federal, state, and local agencies, provide training, and oversee emergency plans and risk assessments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree and law enforcement leadership experience, with the ability to obtain a SECRET clearance and to collaborate across nonprofit partners and law enforcement.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university.
• 10+ years sworn law enforcement experience with relevant certification.
• Formal law enforcement leadership experience.
• Ability to obtain a government security clearance of at least a SECRET level.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Proven knowledge of security protocols and emergency management.
• Certification as CPP or PSP is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Represent SCN and the Federation to local and regional partners.
• Coordinate security plans, policies, and training.
• Liaise with law enforcement on safety matters, including physical and cyber security.
• Develop and oversee security programs and policy implementation.
• Prepare reports for leadership and coordinate crisis response and recovery activities.
• Monitor threats and provide security guidance to community facilities and events.
• Plan security for special events and assist with federation core responsibilities.
