Job summary

Schnitzer Metals Recycling Business (MRB) is seeking an Outside Buyer for a field-based role reporting to the Regional Accounts Manager. You will generate purchases of scrap metals, visit current and potential suppliers, and expand the supplier network across Ferrous and Non-Ferrous grades to maximize volume and margin.

You will negotiate prices and long-term contracts, understand transport, grading, handling costs, and stay aware of market pricing.

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree preferred, but not required.
• One to four years sales or non-procurement buying experience.
• Valid driver\'s license.

Responsibilities

• Develop supplier base and negotiate prices.
• Coordinate with Regional Accounts Manager and Commercial Operations.
• Travel regionally to supplier facilities and manage purchasing.
