Job summary

Syska Hennessy Group in Dallas, TX is seeking an Associate Practice Area Director to lead and grow the regional science and technology practice, overseeing staff and pursuing major project opportunities in pharmaceutical manufacturing, labs, semiconductors, and medical devices.

You will develop business plans, manage client relationships, and coordinate with global teams to deliver high‑impact projects while mentoring senior staff and guiding project delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering required.
• PE license or active license preferred.
• 12+ years BET design experience in consulting engineering or A/E industries.
• Minimum of 5 years of management experience.
• 5+ years’ experience in developing business for engineering.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and expand an existing staff and coordinate the execution of science and technology activities in the region.
• Develop business plans, pursue revenue growth and lead winning strategies.
• Manage project financials and client reporting; target revenue $1–3 million annually.
• Lead sales presentations and contribute articles or conference speaking.
• Recruit senior staff and mentor direct reports.
