Zennio is positioned as one of the most innovative and growing international manufacturers of KNX products, with an active market presence in 124 countries worldwide. We are an established company and a powerhouse in Europe and parts of the Middle East, and we are now expanding into the USA market. This is an opportunity to get in early on the US expansion and grow both the business and your career.

Working at Zennio means working in a vibrant, international, and high-performance technological company that offers an ideal environment for those who want to have a real impact on the organization's growth, are eager to take on challenging initiatives, and be rewarded for their efforts.

Creating Unlimited Possibilities within a Diverse, Global Organization

The Regional Sales Manager – Smart Building Solutions is committed to driving our USA business sales as the senior company representative in a designated region. You will support sales and growth of our Smart Buildings Automation Controls Solutions to residential, commercial, multi-dwelling units, and hotel vertical segments. This is very much a hunter role with a competitive base salary and attractive commission structure to support new business development. Our Solutions Sales team will achieve booking goals by developing and implementing plans to grow, develop, and manage relationships with architects & engineers (A&E), contractors, consultants, developers, and end-users. You will independently execute sophisticated deals within our guidelines, liaise with engineering, general contractors, and other project influencers, and ensure Zennio products are included in project specifications. You will receive strong technical support from Zennio for system design, BOM, and proposals based on project requirements.

You will work remotely and must be located in Orlando, Jacksonville, Tampa, Atlanta, or Houston; approximately 50-60% travel is required. We provide a company car.

As Regional Sales Manager, you will:

  • Achieve new order/booking goals based on your personal territory quota.
  • Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities, forecast expected order intake, and deliver results consistently.
  • Develop a comprehensive understanding of the marketplace, competitors, customers, and decision influencers across your region and segments. Stay current on automation market trends.
  • Create a vertical market and account management plan focusing on strategic growth. Identify new business opportunities and develop go-to-market strategies to drive business to end users and the standard construction channel.
  • Act as a consultant to various levels within customer organizations, understanding their challenges and recommending solutions to meet their building system needs.
  • Attend industry networking events and participate in professional organizations to build contacts and represent Zennio.
  • Discuss budgeting and investment requirements with customers.
  • Position Zennio as an industry leader by leveraging our smart building automation solutions.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure excellent customer outcomes.
  • Work with sales and marketing support to maximize customer engagement.
  • Partner with sales estimators and partners to prepare cost estimates and bid packages.
  • Plan, target, and acquire new projects and accounts with other sales teams.
  • Set pricing based on the value of our services.
  • Coordinate with operations, finance, legal, and other resources to close sales.
  • Participate in sales meetings, workshops, and seminars to stay updated on market and product trends.
  • Spend at least 50% of your time in customer-facing activities, including in-person visits and on-site engagements.
  • Support existing customers and actively seek new ones.
  • Travel overnight approximately 10% for training and business development within your territory.

You will need:

At least a university degree, with a minimum of 3 years of professional experience, ideally in automation products. Demonstrated financial expertise, account development, strategic sales skills, and organizational, presentation, and negotiation skills are required. Must be 21+, possess a valid driver’s license with limited violations, and be legally authorized to work in the US without sponsorship. Experience with Microsoft Office is preferred.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with PipeDrive or Salesforce CRM
  • Experience in software, IoT, and networking
  • Experience selling to end users/owners and understanding how to market building automation solutions (hardware/software)

Special consideration for candidates with KNX hardware and protocol knowledge.

Travel Zone: All states between Texas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kentucky, and Virginia.

Benefits:

  • Fixed salary plus variable (company car, multimedia package), 401(k) matching, and FSA
  • Permanent contract, dental, disability, health insurance, and employee assistance programs
  • Home office flexibility and an excellent work environment
  • Employee discounts and welcome pack
