BIG PICTURE:
The Regional Sales Manager serves as the property level Sales Manager for the designated portfolio of 12 hotels, as well as providing direction, guidance, day-to-day support and execution of the sales initiatives to the assigned hotels within the Avantic Lodging Enterprises portfolio.
CORE ACCOUNTABILITIES:
- Provides sales leadership to the property leaders of the designated hotels.
- Lead the property development and execution of local negotiated account revenue generation strategies to maximize profitability.
- Perform the necessary reviews of the assigned properties to understand their negotiated account profile.
- Cultivate working relationships with local Chambers of Commerce, Convention and Visitors Bureau, Department of Economic Development, as well as any other local business community representatives.
- Demonstrate a working knowledge of Wyndham Brand business negotiated account sales tools and resources. Stay current and ensure the assigned hotels take advantage of all brand resources and initiatives.
- Assist each General Manager to identify new targeted accounts and increase revenues from existing accounts.
- Participate in Revenue Management Calls with each property's revenue leadership teams and the Corporate Director of Sales.
- Monitor and coordinate all hotel social media posts and communications.
- Provide input to the Corporate Director of Sales and Revenue Management team in the monthly forecast for the Negotiated segment, providing guidance, competitive positioning, and overall strategic vision to achieve the desired performance.
- Identifies and analyzes customer preferences to properly direct sales efforts.
- Consults with potential customers to understand their needs; identifies and suggests equipment, products, or services that will meet those needs.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED ATTRIBUTES:
- Bachelor's degree and/or appropriate combination of education and experience to support on-the-job effectiveness.
- A minimum of 5 years' previous sales experience.
- Strong knowledge of corporate/commercial sales and revenue management processes.
- Computer literacy, with ability to easily navigate database, browser, email, document and spreadsheet applications and related programs.
- Exceptional communication skills, in both verbal and written formats.
