Summary of the Job:The Regional Sales Manager position is responsible for leading, developing, and managing a team of field sales resources with the goal of exceeding the annual sales targets for the assigned region. This role requires a high level of direct coaching and people development skills as well as the ability to use data to drive the required results for the region. The Regional Sales Manager is expected to develop strong cross-functional relationships to improve sales processes and ultimately improve the customer experience. This position will be a participant on the sales leadership team and be expected to champion change initiatives, provide input on go-to-market strategies, and help guide the overall direction of the sales organization.To succeed in this position, candidates should have exceptional communication, problem-solving, and sales coaching skills as well as being resourceful, analytical, adaptable, and organized with the ability to build rapport with customers.Main ResponsibilitiesAccountable for hiring, onboarding, training, and performance managing the assigned field sales resourcesMonitor sales activity/sales reporting, including key pipeline reports to coaching sales performance and direct sales resourcesDevelop and communicate strategic plans for assigned regions and local territories in collaboration with National Account teamCollaborate with internal cross-functional teams to remove barriers, improve processes, set customer expectations, and deliver an overall positive experience for our customersEstablish and track sales activity goals and objectives for individual sales reps based on their annual sales goals and experience. In conjunction with Finance, review and audit sales reporting for accuracyBuild a culture of continuous improvement and winning as one Smart Care teamPartner with 3rd parties, as necessary, to acquire tools, insights or capabilities to enhance the sales organizationQualificationsBachelor’s in Business or related field3 – 5 years’ experience in a sales role with 3 – 5 year in a sales leadership roleStrong oral and written communication skillsStrong leadership skills and an ability to develop followershipDeep sales process knowledge and solid negotiation and networking skills requiredHighly analytical with ability to leverage data and insights to drive decision-makingResults-oriented, setting and pursuing aggressive goals, demonstrating a strong commitment to organizational successAdept at grasping, understanding, and articulating company visionComfortable managing under pressure and ability to successfully multitask and prioritizePassion to win and motivate a diverse teamAbility to influence internal and external customersAbout Smart CareSmart Care is a national repair and service provider for commercial foodservice, refrigeration, and cold storage equipment.
