About the Role
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for sales within a specific regional geography, focusing on new customer acquisition, customer retention, and growth opportunities with current customers. Responsibilities include managing opportunity and up-selling current accounts, soliciting new business, and working closely with the Inside Sales Team to support regional sales needs and drive market growth. The role involves managing enterprise within the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish productive relationships with key personnel in assigned accounts.
- Coordinate company resources to meet account objectives and customer expectations.
- Meet targets for profitable sales volume.
- Assess and clarify customer needs proactively.
- Achieve sales quotas and profitability expectations.
- Complete customer account plans and maintain high customer satisfaction ratings.
- Complete training and development objectives timely.
- Maintain a 12-24 month sales pipeline with appropriate actions for long-term growth.
- Work with international teams across multiple time zones and travel frequently.
- Support the company's image and reputation in the marketplace.
- Utilize CRM for account management and sales processes.
- Participate in trade shows and collaborate across departments to meet customer needs.
- Maintain regular contact with leads and accounts via email and phone.
- Participate in ongoing education related to the company's international business.
- Adhere to all policies and procedures.
- Communicate shipping and other customer requirements.
- Provide monthly reports on sales activities and progress towards goals.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Basic Qualifications
- 8+ years of sales experience.
- Strong experience in IT Security and/or Networking markets.
- Experience managing complex customer accounts in a sales environment.
- Proven success in indirect and direct channel sales models.
- Highly competitive, entrepreneurial, with a passion for winning and strategic thinking.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership skills.
- Ability to motivate and train salespeople.
- Decisive problem-solving skills.
- Ability to deliver compelling value propositions.
- Reside currently in the respective region (NJ or PA).
Bonus Points
- Bachelor’s degree plus 5+ years of sales experience.
- Self-starter with integrity, accountability, and a strong track record, especially in start-up environments.
