CIMON is a global industrial automation manufacturer that designs and develops its own hardware and software products, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA software, industrial monitors, and industrial computing platforms. Founded in 1999 and headquartered near Seoul, South Korea, CIMON serves customers across manufacturing, process industries, and infrastructure markets worldwide.
CIMON competes in the industrial automation market by offering reliable, technically solid products with flexible architectures, strong support, and competitive total system cost. Our solutions are used by OEMs, system integrators, distributors, and end users across industries such as manufacturing, packaging, water and wastewater, food and beverage, energy, and general industrial automation.
The U.S. organization is focused on expanding regional coverage, increasing direct customer engagement, and building long-term market presence across North America.
The Regional Sales Manager is a senior-level, revenue-accountable sales leadership role responsible for driving new business development while also managing and expanding strategic customer relationships across an assigned U.S. territory. This role is designed for an experienced industrial automation sales professional who can independently build, execute, and own a regional growth strategy, open new accounts, rapidly deepen technical product expertise, and grow revenue within the territory over time.
This is a hunter-first role, with clear expectations around prospecting, new customer acquisition, and meeting or exceeding defined regional revenue targets. At the same time, the Regional Sales Manager is expected to manage and develop customers within the territory, including ownership of both mid-market and high-potential accounts, building repeat business and expanding product adoption over time.
The role works closely with Inside Sales, Technical Support, Key Account Manager and senior sales leadership, and is expected to lead territory-level execution and provide strategic input on regional market opportunities.
This role requires strong technical aptitude and the ability to learn quickly. The Regional Sales Manager is expected to already possess a foundational understanding of industrial automation concepts and rapidly develop deep expertise in CIMON’s products, including PLCs, HMIs, SCADA software, and related industrial hardware. The individual must be comfortable discussing technical details, system architectures, competitive positioning, and application use cases with customers early in the role.
Success in this position depends on mastering the technical fundamentals of CIMON’s products and selling consultatively based on real application knowledge, ROI value, and competitive differentiation rather than scripted messaging.
This role is based in the greater Chicago metropolitan area and supports customers across the Midwest region, including Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Kansas, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, Indiana, Michigan, and Ohio. The position is primarily remote with significant regional travel for customer visits, partner meetings, plant tours, and industry events. Periodic travel to company HQ offices in Texas and Nevada is required for planning and alignment.
This Regional Sales Manager role is a key territory leadership position within CIMON’s U.S. expansion strategy. High-performing individuals have the opportunity to advance into senior regional roles, national or strategic account leadership, channel or vertical market sales leadership, and broader national sales management positions. Advancement is performance-based and tied to demonstrated success in driving territory growth, expanding key accounts, and contributing to overall U.S. market development.
Industrial automation is a fast-growing field with strong long-term demand as manufacturing continues to modernize and automate. CIMON offers the opportunity to compete in this market with solid products, strong support, and a scalable sales structure. This role is ideal for a sales professional who wants ownership, growth, and a long-term career in industrial automation.
