We are currently seeking a Regional Sales Manager to be based working remotely in the Houston area. This role will be field based and manage an assigned territory which may be based on geography, an account list, or a combination of both. The RSM is responsible achieving established sales goals for the established territory by growing business with an established list of travel agencies as well as uncovering new business opportunities for the purpose of increasing revenue production for the company.


Responsibilities

• Support, strengthen, build, and maintain relationships with our travel agent partners and designated top accounts.
• Account management, including ongoing communications via phone calls, video calls, email and in person sales calls with agencies to promote Windstar’s current offers to meet revenue goals.
• Maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts.
• Create targeted promotional efforts against tactical needs.
• Prepare and assist agencies with sales and marketing plans for group and individual business and follow-up on sales and marketing plans to ensure success.
• To maximize sales potential, provide timely services: account planning, promotional offers, product presentations, co-op budgeting.
• Represent Windstar at National & Regional Sales Conferences for our major consortia partners.
• Monitor sales of territory and agencies to ensure production goals are being met.
• Approve local advertising copy; assist in handling reservation problems and customer relations issues.
• Assist with coordinating seminars, ship visitations and familiarization trips & conduct the same.
• Host training sessions/seminars at agency locations, Webinars, or at off site location.
• Solicit group business at the highest possible yield.
• Monitoring competitor products, sales and marketing activities. Establish and maintain integral relationships with industry influencers and key strategic partners.
• Maintaining a consistent corporate image throughout product, promotional materials and events.
• Encouraging professional communication amongst team members.
• Be willing to work weekends and evenings, if required.
• Document sales activities via ongoing daily reporting within the Saleforce CRM. Document travel agency and travel agent information within salesforce including but not limited to sales activities, marketing and promotional efforts, as well as agency and agent specific information which help us understand their business and take appropriate future sales activities.
• Attend weekly and other scheduled sales meeting as a contributing member of the team, sharing ideas and opportunities to grow business.
• Other duties as required


Qualifications

• 5+ years of demonstrated success selling within travel industry (preferred).
• Sales and Marketing oriented.
• Must have an understanding of the sales process, including commission structures, marketing plans, incentives, overrides and group sales.
• Keen understanding of SalesForce and PowerBI reporting tools
• Understand and explain marketing concepts to travel industry clients.
• Maintain current and future customer relationships.
• Understand yield management, selling vs. price.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational and planning skills.
• Strategically focused and able to work in a fast paced environment.
• Motivated self-starter with integrity and strong work ethic.
• Valid Passport with ability to travel internationally with no restrictions
• Extensive Travel Required.
• Proven analytical and problem-solving skills
• Works with minimal supervision, adhering to overall company policies.
• Utilize company issued equipment such as laptop, tablet, mobile devices and their accessories as required in all travel and other work environments.
• Ability to identify, prioritize and execute tasks to meet critical project deadlines.
• Must possess strong initiative and a friendly, positive demeanor.
• Must be comfortable with using phone, video calling, text, and email on a daily basis to support and communicate with in lieu of face-to-face contact.
