Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

The Eastern Regional Sales Manager (RSM) is expected to work effectively with sales, marketing and operations to achieve company goals and improve the organization's market position, offers, opportunities and profile. S/he will build key relationships, identify business opportunities, work with others in the organization to negotiate and close business deals, maintain knowledge of current market conditions and provide support to operations.

A RSM’s responsibilities consist of tactical, strategic and innovative functions in the following general areas:

Sales and Marketing Duties
  • Primary responsibility is to interact with potential new customers to collect necessary information for a quotation or proposal, and then follow up with continued communication to win the sale.This can be via the phone, email or by performing sales visits in the territory which is east of the Mississippi River.
  • As necessary, make presentations to prospective clients and/or their delegates
  • Occasionally creating quotations and collaborating on large proposals
  • Maintaining relationships with consultants to promote a partnership without paying for leads
  • Interfacing with Quality and Industry Groups
  • Attending and contributing to monthly growth meetings (virtual)
  • Assisting with developing company-wide marketing plans
  • Assisting in the development and implementation of the company’s business plan
  • Participating in tradeshows nationally and supporting regional efforts – on average 4-6 times per year
  • Participating in annual budget meetings with input into the Eastern Region budget and annual activities

  • Proficient at desktop computer, company information systems, ability to work with Salesforce.com.
  • Must have the ability to travel monthly within the territory
  • Manage travel and expenses within the approved budget
