United Group Alliance is seeking an experienced Regional Sales Executive (RSE) for the Central Ohio region. United Group Alliance is a Regional Master Agency for Strategic Insurance Agents Alliance (SIAA) and consists of nearly 100 locations throughout Ohio. It was created by DiStefano Insurance in 2001 with a mission to partner with other independent agencies to help them grow and thrive. Summary

The Regional Sales Executive is responsible to support the master agency to attain and exceed its organic growth goals by increasing the number of new member appointments within the master agency territory. The RSE will increase the existing network by using a systematic approach to identify potential new members and utilize effective “needs-based” selling techniques to motivate qualified prospects to become appointed with the master agency. Under the general direction of the Chief Operating Officer & Principal, the RSE shall develop and execute a measurable prospecting, marketing, and recruitment strategy.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and maintain a consistent, high-volume prospect pipeline comprised of qualified start up, scratch, existing agency owners, producers, and larger opportunity partners.
  • Work in concert with local and national marketing departments to develop and utilize effective marketing materials to generate qualified prospect interest.
  • Employ strategic and tactical activities to identify, locate and contact potential member agencies. Activities include, but are not limited to calling, visiting, utilizing virtual and social media, as well as employing alternative methods to attract interest.
  • Participate in company and agency functions to network for company appointments and member agency prospect leads.
  • Develop, review, and analyze information on member agency prospects to establish suitability for membership in the network.
  • Effectively establish and maintain a positive working relationship with the master agency growth coach (AGC) and utilize the AGC in recruiting selling process.
  • Participate in industry related conferences and trade shows for the primary purpose of establishing new member prospect connections
  • Learn and utilize all necessary technology, especially the consistent documentation of all leads and recruiting details. This is to provide transparency for the master agency as well as pipeline continuity.
  • Negotiate and execute Independent Strategic Member Agreements as directed by the master agency.
  • Participate in applicable learning, development, and communication to increase, skills, capabilities, and knowledge.
  • Participate in master agency meetings, especially the master agency member meetings.
  • Uphold all master agency and SIAA policies and procedures needed for companywide effectiveness, profitability, and compliance with state and federal law.
  • Other duties as directed.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree, 4-6 years’ property and casualty experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience required; sales and negotiation experience desired
  • Property and Casualty License and Designations preferred, but not required; additional licenses/certifications a plus
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication as well as interpersonal skills; must be an effective communicator with the ability to build and maintain relationships while maintaining appropriate levels of confidentiality
  • Excellent presentation skills; able to create and deliver presentations via multiple mediums to individuals as well as varied groups of people
  • Strong quantitative and analytical capabilities; ability to read, analyze, and interpret complex information and apply to practical situations
  • Proven history of personal initiative, efficiency, attention to detail, managing multiple projects simultaneously, and performing quality work within deadlines with or without supervision
  • Ability to travel regularly (mostly local/day travel)
  • PC proficiency required, including MS Office. Knowledge of other industry-specific or custom software a plus.
