Job summary

RBC Bearings is seeking a District Sales Engineer to cover East TX and Houston TX. You will cultivate customer relationships, research needs, and promote RBC Bearings’ products with a proactive, technically grounded approach.

Travel about 50% will be required to visit customers and develop new opportunities. A Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Engineering, or Business and 3–5 years of DST/End User/OEM experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Distribution, Engineering, or Business.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.
• 3–5 years of experience on both DST and End User/OEM accounts.

Responsibilities

• Developing statistical reports.
• Determining market strategies & goals for each product and service.
• Obtain & coordinate data & information from staff & member groups.
• Research and develop lists of potential customers.
• Perform market research to determine customer needs & providing information to other staff.
• Follow up on sales leads and making calls on potential customers which includes at least (50%) of your time on the road visiting customers.
• Maintain up-to-date understanding of industry trends and technical developments that effect target markets.
• Establish and maintain industry contacts that lead to sales.
• Establishing long-term, ongoing repeat relationships.
• Close deals & finalize contacts.
