Job summary

Groendyke Transport is seeking a Safety Training Professional to lead regional safety initiatives and reinforce safe work practices across the Phoenix region. The role supports continuous safety improvement and collaborates with regional leaders to uphold safety standards.

The ideal candidate will have extensive safety experience, DOT/OSHA knowledge, and strong presentation skills, with frequent travel to deliver field training and on-site support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; equivalent experience may substitute.
• Extensive experience in safety or a related field required.
• Working knowledge of DOT and OSHA requirements required.
• Demonstrated leadership capability and sound judgment required.
• Class A CDL preferred; tanker and hazmat endorsements preferred.
• Driver Instructor experience preferred.
• Exceptional presentation and facilitation skills.
• Strong passion for safety and continuous improvement.
• Ability to adapt communication style to different audiences and personality types.
• HAZWOPER certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support regional safety training initiatives across the assigned area.
• Promote Groendyke’s safety values, mission, and continuous improvement efforts.
• Reinforce consistent, safe, and efficient work practices across the region.
• Support loss prevention efforts and safety performance goals.
• Partner with regional leaders and employees to reinforce safety expectations and behaviors.
• Communicate field observations, trends, and feedback to help strengthen programs and practices.
• Travel frequently to deliver training and provide on-site support.
