Job summary

Swift Air Mechanical is seeking a Regional Safety Manager to oversee safety programs across residential and commercial construction sites within a defined region. You will lead audits, training, incident investigations, and compliance with OSHA and state regulations, reporting to the Corporate Safety Officer.

This full-time hybrid role requires travel to customer locations and the ability to implement robust safety processes while maintaining a strong safety culture on site.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in environmental health and safety or related field.
  • 3–5 years of relevant safety work experience.
  • First Aid / CPR / AED and BBP certifications or ability to obtain within 30 days.
  • OSHA 30 required; OSHA 500/510 preferred; CHST preferred or obtainable in first year.
  • NFPA 70E required; construction health and safety knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee compliance: lead orientation, PPE provisioning, training updates via Vector LMS, SDS audits, JSA reviews, site and warehouse audits, OSHA visits, and enforce safety discipline.
  • Investigate incidents, document findings in Vector EHS, implement corrective actions, and maintain injury documentation and return‑to‑work plans.
  • Manage training programs and emergency response plans; oversee specialist programs such as hearing conservation and respiratory protection.
  • Travel to customer locations; ensure safety programs are implemented on residential and commercial construction sites.

Swift Air Mechanical is looking to add an experienced Regional Safety Manager to our growing team!The RegionalSafetyManageris responsible foroverseeing and ensuring the safetyof individuals working onresidential and commercial construction projects across a specific geographic region.This role involves implementing and enforcing safety programs, conducting audits and inspections, providing training, and ensuring compliance with State and Federal regulations.This position reports to the Corporate Safety Officer.

Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
Compliance.
  • Conduct new hire orientation for assigned operating company.
  • FacilitateproperPPE through procurement and distribution to employees.
  • Ensuretraining is up to date and relevant to employee's jobby assigning required training through Vector LMS.
  • Conduct annual audit of SDS for assigned locations.
  • Develop and review JSA for high hazard job sites.
  • Identifyand implement recommendations to remediate all unsafe actions and unsafe conditions on active job sites and warehouse settings.Utilize job matrix data to setprioritylist.
  • Conduct weekly job site and warehouse audits.
  • Attend and document all OSHA job site visits.
  • Enforce safety discipline policy and close out corrective actions issued.
AccidentInvestigationand Documentation.
  • Investigate all incidents anddeterminethe rootcause.
  • Document all incidents, inspections, observations in Vector EHS system.
  • Implement corrective actions to prevent future accidents.
  • Develop andmaintainemployee injury documentation.
  • Document all medical treatments and recovery plans.
  • Develop and implement return to work plans.
Training and Specialty Programs.
  • Oversee training and evaluations for all specialist programs such as hearingconservation, lead, respiratory, competent person.
  • Develop, organize, and implement location emergency response program.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in environmental health and safety or another related field.
  • 3-5 years of relevant safety work experience in a similar role.
  • First Aid / CPR / AED and BBP certifications required or ability to obtain in first 30 days.
  • OSHA 30 required.
  • OSHA 500 and OSHA 510 preferred.
  • Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST) preferred, or the ability to obtain within the first year of employment.
  • NFPA 70E required.
  • Previousexperience and comfort working in the construction/building industry.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of general safety guidelines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, and general software navigation.
  • Solid leadership qualities and the desire to inspire and lead others.
  • Excellent training development and facilitation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to customer locations.

This is a full-time hybrid position with occasional travel, based out of Indianapolis, Indiana, Monday to Friday. We offer a competitive salary with a full benefit package.
