Job summary

S&S Activewear, a leading North American apparel distributor, seeks a Senior Safety Manager to lead health & safety programs across 5–10 distribution centers. You will partner with regional leaders, implement risk controls, and drive a culture of safety excellence with travel across sites.

The role requires 7+ years in EHS leadership, CSP preferred, and the ability to manage safety across warehousing, logistics, and manufacturing environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
• Minimum 7+ years of progressive Environmental, Health & Safety leadership experience, including at least 3 years managing safety programs across multiple locations within distribution, warehousing, logistics, manufacturing, or similarly complex operations.
• Certified Safety Professional (CSP) preferred.
• Proven experience leading enterprise or regional initiatives focused on SIF/pSIF prevention, critical risk management, and operational safety improvement.
• Demonstrated ability to build strong partnerships with operational leaders and influence safety performance through collaboration rather than direct authority.

Responsibilities

• Lead regional safety strategy to reduce Serious Injury and Fatality (SIF) and pSIF risks.
• Administer programs to identify risk exposures, evaluate control effectiveness, and drive corrective actions across sites.
• Partner with regional leaders and cross-functional teams to embed safety into operations and improve performance.
• Lead complex incident investigations and learning reviews to implement systemic corrective actions.
• Analyze safety and operational data to identify trends and provide strategic recommendations to leaders.
• Conduct site visits and travel 25–50% to assess risk and reinforce controls.
• Foster a culture of learning, engagement, and accountability in safety programs.
• Support workers' comp, return-to-work, regulatory inspections, and compliance.
• Lead, coach, and develop safety professionals to strengthen regional safety ownership.
