Avir Vista in Dallas–Fort Worth, Texas is seeking a Regional Respiratory Therapist to elevate respiratory care across its skilled nursing facilities in the DFW market. This role goes beyond bedside care, requiring leadership, education, and problem-solving to help facilities manage higher-acuity residents.

You will provide hands-on clinical support, develop consistent respiratory protocols, and partner with nursing, operations, and leadership to improve outcomes and reduce hospital transfers.

Qualifications

• Current Texas Respiratory Care Practitioner license.
• RRT preferred.
• Strong clinical respiratory experience.
• Ventilator and tracheostomy care experience preferred.
• Post-acute care experience a plus.
• Strong educator and communicator.
• Willingness to travel across the DFW market.
• Self-directed and organized.

Responsibilities

• Support respiratory programs across multiple facilities in the DFW market.
• Provide hands-on education and clinical support to facility teams.
• Help facilities manage residents with complex respiratory needs.
• Support ventilator, tracheostomy, oxygen and other respiratory programs.
• Partner with nursing, operations, admissions and clinical leadership.
• Review respiratory-related hospital transfers and identify opportunities to care for residents in place.
• Assist with evaluating complex referrals and removing admission barriers.
• Help develop consistent respiratory protocols, competencies and best practices across the market.
• Identify opportunities to expand respiratory capabilities and higher-acuity programs.
• Serve as the go-to respiratory resource for our DFW facilities.
