Job summary

Albertsons Companies' Northern California Division is seeking an Area Refrigeration Supervisor based in the Bay Area. You will oversee in‑house refrigeration mechanics and Authorized Service Providers, directing maintenance, training, and projects for HVAC, refrigeration, and EMS in our stores.

Lead up to 10 technicians, ensure safety, compliance, and preventive maintenance, and collaborate with the Energy Manager on system performance and energy reductions.

Qualifications

• EPA Section 608 Universal Certification is required.
• Thorough knowledge of supermarket refrigeration systems is required.
• Experience in HVAC maintenance & repairs.
• Ability to supervise up to 10 technicians and coordinate with service providers.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee in-house refrigeration maintenance programs across multiple stores.
• Direct and train refrigeration mechanics and service providers.
• Ensure compliance with safety, refrigerant handling, and regulatory requirements.
• Coordinate with Energy Manager on efficiency projects and store remodels.
• Develop best practices and standard operating procedures for HVACR.
