Job summary

Illinois Department of Corrections in Illinois invites applications for the Southern Region Reentry Manager. This role supervises Reentry Correctional Assessment Specialists in the southern parole offices and coordinates risk assessments and case management for individuals on Mandatory Supervised Release.

The position will travel statewide and expand reentry services across central and southern parts of the state.

Qualifications

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four (4) years college preferably with courses in psychology, social work, behavioral or social sciences, or a related field.
• Requires three (3) years of progressively responsible administrative experience in the social sciences field with direct experience in one of the following areas: mental health, substance abuse, or medical discharge planning.
• Of the three (3) years' experience requires three (3) years supervisory experience in a program related field.

Responsibilities

• Serves as the Southern Region Reentry Manager
• Monitors linkages and referral relationships between the Department of Corrections (DOC) and local community-based organizations, primary care providers, community mental health/developmental disabilities centers, state agencies, substance abuse programs, and adjunct service providers to ensure continuity of care after individual in custody is released from DOC
• Administers regional reentry services and workforce development strategies
• Monitors risk assessments and case plans completed for individuals on Mandatory Supervised Release (MSR)
• Serves as full-line supervisor
• Participates in committees and meetings as they relate to reentry services
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated above
