Job summary

Framery is seeking a Regional Quality Lead for the Americas to own product and production quality in North America, focusing on the Gradus pod line at Zeeland, MI. You will drive supplier quality, manage component issues, and execute PPAPs while aligning with global Framery standards.

Based in Zeeland near Grand Rapids, MI, you will inspect parts, perform 8D/5 Whys root-cause analysis, and collaborate with R&D, Sourcing, and Quality teams in Tampere and Finland.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or equivalent practical experience.
• Experience inspecting physical parts and performing root-cause analysis.
• Ability to lead supplier quality initiatives and drive CAPA.

Job description

Are you a hands-on quality engineering professional with great problem-solving skills and a passion for manufacturing excellence? Ready to take ownership of product quality for our growing operations in North America? If so, we want you to join us as our Regional Quality Lead, Americas.

In this role, you’ll own the ongoing product and production quality of our Gradus pod line during serial production at our manufacturing facility in Zeeland, near Grand Rapids, Michigan. Your focus will be on driving supplier quality and development, managing component issues, executing PPAPs, and improving supplier yield. You'll also take ownership of assembly output at our production partner, using field data and customer feedback to drive CAPA improvements on the factory floor.

As our local technical expert, you’ll diagnose complex issues during assembly, route their origin, and elevate findings directly to our global teams. While your daily focus is on tactical execution on the floor, you’ll also build, maintain, and refine a localized Quality Management System (QMS) that aligns with global Framery standards. You’ll operate independently in the US while collaborating daily with local partners and our R&D, Sourcing, and Quality teams in Tampere, Finland.

You are a courageous, decisive, and detail-oriented problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments. You bring a "boots-on-the-ground" mentality combined with systemic thinking, comfortable taking initiative and holding partners accountable using data.

• Solid experience in supplier quality engineering, manufacturing quality, or production-heavy roles such as managing serial production, engineering changes, and driving CAPA.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality Management, or equivalent practical experience.
• Deep technical aptitude to inspect physical parts, perform root cause analysis (8D, 5 Whys), and execute PPAPs for new revisions and product changes.
• Excellent communication skills to inspire a culture of quality, motivate external partners, and bridge operational collaboration between our US facility and Finland HQ.
• Physical presence at our production facility in Zeeland, Michigan and travel locally to suppliers in the US, and visit HQ in Finland a couple of times a year.

Practicalities:

This is a full-time hybrid role starting as soon as possible, requiring active weekly presence at our production facility near Grand Rapids in Zeeland, MI. Base salary range is $75,000–$90,000 per year, an annual bonus program, and comprehensive benefits.
