Job summary

Amazon.com Services LLC is seeking a Regional Quality & Benchmarking Specialist to build and implement quality systems for Reliability & Maintenance Engineering across sites. You will guide field teams, evaluate performance, and drive best practices to raise reliability year over year.

You will lead risk-based forecasting, standard work procedures, and continuous improvement initiatives, communicating with stakeholders and traveling up to 80% to ensure consistency and safety.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technology, or Reliability Engineering or 2+ years of Amazon Full Time Exempt experience.
  • 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience.
  • 5+ years of directly managing multiple large projects.
  • 5+ years of Microsoft Office products experience.
  • Willingness to travel domestically up to 80%.
  • Flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Develop parts cage quality standards by creating work benches, tracking quality data and vendor defect rates, and building standard work processes.
  • Create risk-based forecasting tools to help site maintenance leaders prioritize work and partner with central teams.
  • Define RME standard work procedures for maintenance quality, timing, and structure across all sites and providers with field audits.
  • Lead network-wide Continuous Improvement initiatives using AMS Standards and validate PM processes.
  • Travel domestically up to 80%.

About the Role

As the Regional Quality & Benchmarking Specialist, you will build and implement quality systems for Reliability & Maintenance Engineering (RME). You will guide field teams in creating effective decision-making tools for site managers, evaluate Fulfillment Center RME performance, and implement best practices to improve reliability metrics year over year. You will be instrumental in leading Amazon RME towards World Class Maintenance.

Key job responsibilities


  • - You will develop parts cage quality standards by creating work benches, tracking quality data and vendor defect rates, and building standard work processes for parts quality management

  • - You will create risk-based forecasting tools that help site maintenance leaders prioritize work based on asset failure probability and partner with central reliability and RAPA teams to develop tracking automation for audit and parts mechanisms

  • - You will define RME standard work procedures for maintenance quality, timing, and structure across all sites and providers, while conducting regular field audits to analyze performance against best practices

  • - You will lead network-wide Continuous Improvement initiatives using AMS Standards and validate new company-wide Program Management (PM) processes that meet safety and effectiveness standards

  • - You will be able to travel domestically up to 80%


Basic Qualifications


  • - Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Technology, or Reliability Engineering, or 2+ years of Amazon (BB/3P) Full Time Exempt experience

  • - 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience

  • - 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience

  • - 5+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience

  • - Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays


Preferred Qualifications


  • - Experience in Lean Management, Six Sigma and other operations engineer tools

  • - PMP certificate

  • - Experience with analytical tools and ability to dive deep into metrics and reporting

  • - Experience communicating and delivering presentations to customers, stakeholders, and/or teammates

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
