Job summary

ASHFORD CONNEX, LLC is seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead the ISO 9001 Quality Management System and supervise multi-site laboratory teams. The role focuses on quality systems ownership, analytical testing oversight, audit management, and continuous improvement across U.S.

manufacturing locations. The position requires a strong QA/QC background, lab supervision experience, and ISO 9001 auditing credentials, with travel up to 50%.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, or related field.
• 5+ years of QA/QC experience in industrial manufacturing or related processing environment.
• 2+ years of laboratory supervisory experience.
• ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or Internal Auditor certification required.
• Experience with wet chemistry, physical materials testing, analytical instrumentation, and statistical process control.
• Willingness to travel regularly.
• ASQ CMQ/OE or CQE certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and improve the organization’s ISO 9001 Quality Management System, including document control, procedures, and audit readiness.
• Lead third party registration and customer audits.
• Provide direction, training, and support to laboratory and site quality personnel.
• Oversee physical and chemical testing of raw materials, in-process materials, and finished products.
• Ensure analytical methods are validated and laboratory instruments are calibrated and maintained.
• Lead quality investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective and preventive action.
• Manage laboratory resources, budgets, and quality performance metrics.
