Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a related field (e.g., Management, Logistics, Business Administration, Financial Management, Production/Operations Management) and 1 year experience in an operations/distribution/logistics environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas.
• 1 year experience as Walmart Logistics Area Manager supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in hiring/promotion of associates.
• 3 years experience in an operations/distribution/logistics/retail environment, supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing managers/supervisors; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees for multiple departments/areas.
• Associates will be required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Communicate with or to individuals or groups verbally and/or in writing to support customers, suppliers, and associates.
• Drive and implement the business plan for the area to achieve facility goals (production, quality, safety; and operational improvements).
• Forecast staffing workload and performance to meet business demands for workload and performance results.
• Prepare, review, and analyze business reports to identify operational improvements.
• Monitor compliance with Logistics and company quality and safety standards, policies, procedures and directives.
• Identify and resolve associate, customer, and supplier concerns, using judgment or consulting others as needed.
• Supervise and manage associates and leaders by directing, monitoring performance, and providing feedback.
• Oversee QA guidelines and inventory integrity, ensure systems and processes support corrective actions, slot profiling, cycle counts and damages.
• Oversee system operations, hardware/software maintenance, and partner with IS and vendors as needed.
