Job summary

Westlake Chemical seeks a Regional Senior Manager of Projects to lead multi-site capital initiatives, spanning FEED to close-out. You will guide scope, budget, and schedules while supervising diverse project teams and coordinating with stakeholders.

This senior role requires extensive Oil & Gas or petrochemical project leadership experience. Expect accountability for up to $200 million per project and travel across sites, with a focus on safe, compliant, and on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years of project-related experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related industry.
• At least 5 years of project management leadership experience.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies, plans, and governance processes to support successful project outcomes.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities across assigned projects.
• Monitor and manage project scope, cost, schedule, risks, and performance, implementing corrective actions as necessary.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including workload delegation, performance management, coaching, and employee development.
• Organize and staff project teams to ensure appropriate resources are available to meet project objectives.
• Serve as the primary liaison among internal stakeholders, contractors, site leadership, customers, and senior management.
• Develop and maintain effective relationships with key internal and external stakeholders to identify opportunities, resolve issues, and support project success.
• Ensure effective safety, quality, and risk management programs are established and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
• Manage contractor and vendor relationships, including contract strategy, negotiations, performance oversight, and project support activities.
• Ensure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present project status updates, forecasts, recommendations, and key decision points to senior leadership.
• Support construction, commissioning, startup, facility turnover, and project closeout activities.
• Capture and apply lessons learned and remain current on industry trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve project execution.
