Job summary

Westlake Chemical Corporation seeks a Regional Sr. Manager Projects to lead multi-site capital initiatives, overseeing FEED through startup for projects up to $200 million.

You will direct engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and turnover, and mentor cross‑functional teams to achieve on-time, on-budget results. Required: Bachelor's in Engineering, 15+ years in oil & gas/petrochemical project work with at least 5 years in leadership; travel ~35% and a strong focus on safety,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering is required.
• Minimum 15 years of project-related experience in the Oil & Gas, Petrochemical, or related industry.
• At least 5 years of project management leadership experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of capital projects within scope, schedule, and budget.
• Develop and implement project execution strategies and governance.
• Oversee engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning, and startup activities.
• Monitor scope, cost, schedule, risks, and performance; implement corrective actions.
• Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including staffing and coaching.
• Staff project teams to meet objectives.
• Serve as liaison among internal stakeholders, contractors, and senior management.
• Maintain relationships with stakeholders to identify opportunities and resolve issues.
• Ensure safety, quality, and risk management programs throughout project lifecycle.
• Manage contractor and vendor relationships, including contract strategy and performance.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and company policies.
• Present project status, forecasts, and key decisions to senior leadership.
• Support construction, commissioning, startup, turnover, and closeout.
• Capture lessons learned and stay current with industry trends.
